“Beam Duplication” is an intervention in two places of the university campus with the aim of changing the way people interact and perceive those spaces. Both interven- tions duplicated the ceiling beam, an architectural structure that in the case of that building has a more decorative purpose than a functional one. The beams were aged with elements that suggested previous usage. Most people felt surprised with the emergence of this significant structure that has no practical purpose.
