“Cuarenta y un baldosas Córdova” 2012

Cuarenta y un baldosas Córdova nace en torno a la pregunta ¿qué es lo que le da valor a un objeto? Proponiendo al tiempo como respuesta a aquella pregunta, el trabajo consiste en una búsqueda absurda por hacer aparecer el tiempo dada su inexistencia.

Los nombres del catalogo de venta, que refieren a una tradición mayor que la propia (Chile) y dan cuenta de aquella intención por buscar valor a través de la vinculación con un otro más prestigioso.

“Forty-one Córdova Tiles”

The work consists of 50 paintings, all of them imitate one single old tile. Each one has below the names of the sale catalogue of the most traditional tile factory in Chile. Most of those names correspond to European cities. The work reflects on two interrelated ques- tions: how to convey the passage of time and how to adds value to an object.
